A gifted teacher and pastor to the Body of Christ, David Emigh and his wife, Sharon, have pastored Word of Life for more than 25 years. They pioneered this work with just a handful of people and now it is a growing, thriving church that is impacting their local community and the world.

You will find his teaching practical and applicable to your daily life. David loves to see people grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and find their God-given purpose. His philosophy is “every member a minister.” David’s desire is to build up people and see them achieve in life.

David is a pastor to ministers and leaders and he oversees Life Ministerial Fellowship International (LMFI), a ministry to ministers. He has a desire to see the Body of Christ flow in power and authority, reaching the world for Jesus.

Pastor Sharon is an anointed teacher of the Word of God. She is an exhorter and loves to share on things that will change your everyday life and help you to walk in victory. Sharon’s music ministry and teaching gift make her a great blessing to the Body of Christ and take her to many nations of the world.

David is a 1977 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and he and Sharon live in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, USA.

Word of Life accepts the following statements as its Statements of Fundamental Truths and Doctrine. In other words, as far as we are concerned, these are nonnegotiable.

1. The Bible is God’s actual words that reveal His plan for us.
(II Timothy 3: 15-17; I Peter 1: 23-25; Hebrews 4: 12)

2. The Trinity is made up of God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. While all three exist together to make God, Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity.
(Matthew 28: 19; I John 5: 7; Isaiah 9: 6)

3. You and I are created by God’s very own Hand. However, because we deliberately sinned and separated ourselves from God, our only way back to Him is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who shed His Blood and died on the Cross for us.
(Genesis 1: 26-31; Romans 5: 12-21; John 14: 6)

4. Our freedom from sin and entrance into God’s kingdom

a) Jesus Christ supplies us with salvation and healing. (Isaiah 53: 5) Salvation comes by believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and first place in our lives.
(Romans 10: 9-10; Ephesians 2: 8)

b) We know we are saved because of the Holy Spirit’s witness in our spirit. Romans 8:16. We show we are saved by our outward actions of holy living and displaying the love of Jesus Christ to all.
(I John 3: 23; John 13: 35)

c) Salvation is strictly by inward faith in Jesus Christ and not by outward human works. However, our outward works are evident signs of our faith and determine our rewards in Heaven.
(Ephesians 2: 8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Romans 14: 10-12; II Corinthians 5: 10;
Titus 3: 5-7; James 2: 18)

5. Water Baptism is a bold illustration to the world that we have died with Christ and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
(Romans 6: 4; Matthew 28: 19; Acts 10: 47-48)

6. The Lord’s Supper is the celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection; whereby we eat of the bread (Christ’s broken Body) and drink from the cup (Christ’s shed Blood).
(I Corinthians 11: 24-30)

7. Beyond salvation, all believers should receive God’s promise of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. With this, God gives us extraordinary power and gifts to carry out His purpose for our life.
(Luke 24: 49; Acts 1: 4-8; 2: 38-39; 10: 44-46; 11: 14-16)

8. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is real. There are two confirmations: first, the beginning tangible sign of speaking with other tongues as the Holy Spirit leads, and second, the unexplainable progression to having more and more power to do what God has called us to do.
(Acts 1: 8; 2: 4; 19: 6)

9. The Church is the Body of Christ, with every believer being an important team member.
(Ephesians 1: 22; 2: 19-22; 4: 25)

10. Whole-Person Prosperity

a) Spirit-Prosperity
(John 3: 3; John 3: 16; II Corinthians 5: 17)

b) Mind-Prosperity
(II Timothy 1: 7; Romans 12: 2; Isaiah 26: 3; Romans 8: 28)

c) Body-Prosperity
(Isaiah 53: 4-5; III John 2; Matthew 8: 17; I Peter 2: 24)

d) Money-Prosperity
(III John 2; Malachi 3: 10-11; Luke 6: 38; II Corinthians 9: 6-10; Deuteronomy 28: 1-14)

e) Relationship-Prosperity
(Proverbs 3: 4; Psalm 133: 1-3)

11. Rapture: the believer’s blessed assurance that Jesus is coming back to gather us all to Heaven.
(I Corinthians 15: 51-52; I Thessalonians 4: 16-17;
II Thessalonians 2: 1)

12. Non-believers who have turned down Christ’s offer of salvation will meet up with never-ending separation from God.
(Revelation 19: 20; Revelation 20: 10-15)

13. The 1000 Year Reign of Jesus: Jesus Christ will leave Heaven and come to rule on earth during His Millennial Reign
(II Thessalonians 1: 7; Revelation 19: 11-16; Revelation 20: 1-7), and follow up with a new heaven and a new earth.
(Revelation 21)
