You Can Receive Eternal Life by Pastor David Emigh
Ponce de Leon searched for the fountain of youth because he had a desire to live forever. There are many stories from different cultures and different people groups that talk about the quest for eternal life. What you and I need to understand is that eternal life comes from the Giver of Life and that is, God our Creator. The truth is all of us will live forever, but receiving eternal life determines where we will live forever and with whom. We who receive eternal life will live with our Creator in the kingdom of God. But those who do not receive eternal life will live forever in the lake of fire. Whoa you do not want that!
This great God who created the heavens and the earth sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the earth to become flesh and blood to save you and me from sin. Sin had separated us from God. Sin had destroyed our lives and defiled our nature. We were lost and dead in sin, but Jesus Christ came and died on the cross as a sacrifice for you and me. After He died they laid Him in a tomb, but God raised Him from the dead and now He gives eternal life to all that call upon His Name.
In fact, Jesus said “I have come for one reason that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly.” Eternal life is not just living forever, but it is having the life and nature of God, your Creator in your heart. You see, today sin has spoiled your life through fear, worry and torment, but Jesus has made a way for you to receive eternal life. So today ask Jesus to come into your heart to be the Lord of your life and if you ask, He will come and you’ll be changed forever and you’ll receive the gift of eternal life.
Romans 10:9 & 10: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
This is a very simple Scripture, but it says to you that if you ask Jesus to come into your heart, He will and when He comes He’ll save you from sin and give you eternal life and yes, you’ll spend eternity in joy, peace and happiness. So pray this prayer with me right now.
Dear Jesus, I do believe in you and I ask you to come into my heart
and be the Lord of my life. I make you Lord of my life in every
area. I receive you today, Jesus. I confess you as my Lord.
